Busan, Ulsan, Gyeongnam Institution for Supporting Women in S&T will suggest following managerial vision to overcome economic, social and cultural barriers inside society under prevalent beliefs of male superiority and to achieve international competitiveness by cooperation with NIS-WIST.
Busan, Ulsan, Gyeongnam Institution for Supporting Women in S&T, by carrying out various programs, supports local women in S&T and achieves better status of women in S&T and utilize their latent competencies of women labor force to build science and technology-centered society.

■ Need for Founding BIS-WIST
- Founded under the Article 14 of the Law on Recruiting and Supporting Women in Science and Technology
- To build up professionalism and social adaptiveness of women in science and technology
- To develop policy alternatives continuously, and analyze and assess the progress on regular basis

■ Project Objectives
- Improve women's employment rate in science and technology field through supporting customized education based on individual's academic achievements
- Improve job opportunities into various fields by supporting local women in S&T by their academic achievements
- Enhance R&D work place and employment environment of local non-regular professional women in S&T
- Enhance quality of supporting policy by constructing related local DB archives
- Provide bases for regional competitiveness by developing interdisciplinary, inter-regional, inter-gender support programs and policies development cooperation
- Enhance width and quality of support by constructing borderless, on- and off-line networks
